We had a great time on this tour with our lovely guide Perrine. She shared local historical and cultural knowledge with us, and we felt we got to know the city well. It was a good grounding for the rest of our weekend, and despite cycling on roads around the city, Perrine set a good pace and we were all... More

We had a great guide, Edina, she was knowledgable, fun and really happy to be a part of our day. This is a great city to see via bike and you get a real feel for the histoy and culture. Well worth the price, fun and well organised.

We spent 18 days in 5 countries, and did many tours. This was our absolute favorite. Budapest is AMAZING, there are so many beautiful and historical places there, I/we had no idea of the many things in Pest! (We did the tour only on the Pest side of the river, due to time constraints.) The best part of this tour... More

Great way to explore the city. We booked a Dutch speaking tour and Matyas was our guide. Very interesting and a success! Our 9 and 10 year old were also captivated by his stories and knowledge of the city.

In Budapest, we took a walking tour, a bus tour, and a bike tour in 3 consecutive days. Each tour provided a different perspective of Budapest. The walking tour delivered most lively comments and interactions in a small area, while the bus tour covered most attractions with recorded narratives throughout. The biking tour was the most enjoyable, since we bikers... More

This was a very pleasant way to see and learn about Budapest. Bogi, our guide, was interesting, knowledgeable and friendly and kept a good pace with our small group. We thought someone in the shop should have made sure our bikes were adjusted for us before we started the tour.

Coincidentally, I was with an all Dutch group and the guide Peter is also a Dutchman. That was easy. Peter took the time, no rush, no hurry, not being back on time. All easy. We took our time to have a drink and sit down. Peter showed us fantastic places in Budapest and knew a lot about the history and... More

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
