Thank you, Petra for the great tour! You've totally rehabilitated your company. After taking the Budapest walk with another guide ( which was awful) we were very skeptical to take this one, however you've made it very interesting and engaging, not to mention informative and fun! You've demonstrated tons of knowledge about the subject and manage not to make it... More

This tour did not cover Budapest history. The focus was on how to use public transportation, recommended food, and an emphasis on the party spots. We did not learn about the buildings we were walking past except for some brief names and a five minute Budapest history.

It was part of our hop on and off tour offer. It was good and informative. It's better to have a guide in the Castle tour. Else you might be walking aimlessly.

I did 3 tours with these guys and I was in Budapest for 2 days only. Shame on the fist evening it was pissing down with rain and I decided not to do the evening tour. Petra and Greg were lovely. Cheers guys.

Budapest walk doesn't cover Budapest history or architecture, instead our guide (Greg) spent all the time talking about food, public transportation instead of pointing at the buildings and monuments we passed by. We were very disappointed.

If you've got two and a half hours spare while visiting Budapest then I thoroughly recommend this walking tour. Even if you haven't, then you should make time! We did the tour today with Greg as our guide ... very informative with some wit thrown in too!! Highly recommend this.

Firstly our tour guide was excellent in her role, she was enthusiastic and engaged with the large number of people on her tour. We walked a fair amount and it was great as an orientation exercise rather than the usual historical content of other walks. The content of the tour seemed skewed towards promoting restaurants, pubs etc, this was slightly... More

Like free walking tours in other cities, the price of the tour is determined by the traveller after the tour in the form of tips. The free walking tour in Budapest certainly did not disappoint. Lara, our tour guide, was fun and informative, bringing us through the must-see places on both sides of the danube river and giving us tips... More

We participated in 2 tours - the general Budapest tour and the Red Communist tour. Both of our tour guides (Nori and Erika) were phenomenal. The passion and knowledge of their city is truly reflected in the tour and we cannot say enough isotope things about experience. Travel tips- wear comfortable shoes, bring sunscreen and an umbrella and the weather... More

The tour makes it's money from tips. On Viator, these tours go for at least $39 US per person, so this was a bargain. There is always a big group attending as it's "Free". There are usually 3 guides and they separate you into groups. In my group there was also a "student" tour guide who did some of the... More

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
