Loved this experience! Peter our server was fantastic. He gave us the best experience speaking both English and German. He was knowledgeable about beer, the river and all about the area. Honestly he made our night. (Give that guy a raise)

Myself and my girlfriend went on the Danube River Cruise with just drinks only. The cruise itself was nice, very relaxing with a band playing. You're initially seated on large round tables which are good for socialising if you wish. After listening to the music we went outside onto the deck, which was a great experience. Drinking Pina Coladas (which... More

Me and my friends booked the 2-hour cruise with drinks at 7pm and it was the best way to finish our visit to Budapest. The cruise gave us the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the city both during daytime and after sunset. Great atmosphere and service. Special thanks to our host Robert Vogel who was very welcoming, gave us... More

Very pleasant cruise boat, perfect service and high level attendant attitude. We booked the cruise from 7 pm till 9 pm. This way there was a sunset, day and night view of the city. The background was great live music. Recommend this experience. Have in mind to book in advance especially for the weekend.

Went on the 7pm wine tasting cruise and thought it was great value for money. Our host Robert was excellent and was really accommodating, especially for those of us who didn't like the red wine, instead offering us another glass of the rose. He also guided us towards some bars after the tour had finished which really helped us out.... More

Went on the Danube river cruise at 7pm with my boyfriend on the last night of our holiday, it was a great experience with live music and two free drinks whilst looking at the views across the river including the parliament building. We were also given information on other sites on the cruise by Robert Vogel as he served us... More

We didn't take the cruise but attended a concert and dance by the Hungaria Folk Ensemble at the Duna Palota/Danube Palace. I'm really not into folk dancing or ethnic music but this show could make me change my mind. The venue is a concert hall built in the 1880's and is beautiful. As described in Wiki: "The beautiful theatre hall... More

Booked the 6.30pm cruise with drinks.Excellent way to see the city and great value for money if you ask me. We got a drink on arrival and a voucher for another. The 'band' were great source of energy and entertainment.

The view from the boat was spectacular!! I was there with a group of 40 students and everything went very well. Our host Robert made sure we had a great time and we did! I would recommend this to anyone who visits Budapest, the view by night from the boat is something you have to see!

PROS Views were spectacular, especially after sunset. Food was delicious and service was done in a friendly way. Live music was good and atmosphere as well. Minor CONS. Some of the desserts were not anymore available when we wanted those and no additional desserts were not added. We were in the bow and we didn´t hear the voice of cruise... More

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
