My husband found Anges and Andrew via Tripadvisor and our family of 4 (including two teenagers aged 13 and 15) had a fantastic day. They were on time, took us on a personalized tour of the very clean Budapest market, bought our supplies (as well as some tourist trinkets - they were VERY patient) and headed off to Agnes' apartment... We did the market tour and cooking class with Agnes and Andrew. The Market Tour involved sampling palinka (at 9 am!), langos, and several other Hungarian items. After the tour and buying a few items needed for our meal, we went to Agnes' apartment and started cooking. We make Fruit soup, catfish paprikas, and sponge cake. We enjoyed cooking and... More

We booked a market tour with Agnes and Andrew and enjoyed it A LOT!!!!!!!!!!They are such a nice and friendly couple and made sure we were having a good time and that we all could taste everything we wanted. We started with a little Palinka for "breakfast" und afterwards tried Langos and wonderful "potpourri" of different typical Hungarian dishes including... More

If you enjoy meeting local people and learning about their culture and way of life you have to take this class. My friends and I had three days to spend in Budapest and we wanted to do something really unique to learn more about Hungarian culture. We found Agi here on Trip Advisor and were lucky enough that she was... More

Agi helped my girlfriend and me cook the stuffed cabbage, sausage and potato soup, and sponge cake. They were delicious! She guided us through each step of the process and explained it according to our skill level. Wine and traditional bread with pork lard was served upon arrival.

This experience was the highlight of a wonderful few days in this gorgeous city. From the minute we arrived in Agi's home we felt welcome and knew this was going to be a brilliant experience. We were late (don't ask) but this didn't faze her at all, we were met with a glass of pulinka and canapes and after a... More

This was the first thing we signed up for when we started planning our Eastern European trip. My husband and I were so excited and looked forward to it for months. And it was so worth the wait. We booked on line and handled all of the details via e-mail. This worked perfectly. Agi was prompt and detailed with instructions... More

We met Agi at the Great Market at 9AM and the next 6 hours were a blend of Hungarian delights. We tasted delicious foods in the market, saw hand made crafts, learned about the foods that make Hungarian cuisine unique. We visited all three floors of the market and experienced a part of Budapest that many tourists never see. Then... More

The cooking class and tour that we had with Agnes was a wonderful experience. The market was amazing and Agnes' pride in her country and the knowledge of what was local was very much appreciated . The cooking class managed to suit two people with differing levels of experience and enthusium for cooking-both of us learned new techniques and hints... More
