I had a spare day between my flight into Budapest and our river cruise, so hired a bike for the day. Bikebase had an excellent Specialized 29er Rockhopper that was good for rough roads. They were more than happy to put my own pedals on it for the day. 'Log in to our WiFi while you're waiting' - great. Good... More

I decided the best way to visit Budapest with two little children (1,5 & almost 3) was by bike. I compared several bike rental shops and Bikebase both had the best rates and was located closest to our accommodation. I also preferred neutral bikes (as opposed to f.e. the yellow zebra bikes in striking colors). I booked two bikes online... More

Stumbled upon this place walking around Budapest. After walking 15 km on our first day with three teenage children, it was easy to recommend that we should spend the next day cycling. The chap in Bikebase was incredibly friendly, easy-going and relaxed about the rental experience. It was sorted with minimal fuss and we ended up with high-quality bikes at... More

If you have been to Budapest but not hired a bike then you have missed out. Its a great way to see the city and we were amazed how much we could cram into a day using the bikes. There are loads of cycle paths and the drivers are really considerate. Most places are easily accessible by bike and there... More

We come from Amsterdam so we wanted to rent bikes to explore Budapest for the weekend. We checked out a few places and in the end chose Bikebase. I am so glad we did because having bikes made our experience AMAZING. The bike paths in the city centre are pretty good, and you can see so much more this way.... More

We rented 2 bikes for same day return, but ended up deciding to keep them for the next day, so we contacted Bikebase and they had no problem extending our rental period, which was great. The bikes are very nice and come with good locks. They have all sorts of bikes and if you're not pleased with the bike you've... More

My husband and I were competing in a triathlon in Budapest in July and had to rent road bikes for the event. George was really extremely helpful and even though he doesn't normally rent out road bikes he went out of his way to get two for us. The bikes were brand new and he helped us do the bike... More

I have rented two city bikes on June and they were excellent. Guys working there are very helpful and honest. The shop is close to city center and nyugati railway station. Absolutely reliable!
