An absolute highlight during my stay in Hungary, August 2015, was the house concert at and with Adam Felligi. I just drifted away and I forgot the time and where I was. When I left, I had the feeling that I dreamed. He played Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Bela Bartok, it was the finest concert I'd ever heard. He plays by... More

We had the opportunity to book and attend a concert by Adam Fellegi in Budapest. It was a great decision. Adam Fellegi is a former Rubinstein Prize winner who has practiced a lifetime and it shows. There were around thirty people of all ages and a group of High School music students. He plays Beetoven and Chopin with ease. He... More

I recently had the privilege of hearing Mr. Fellegi play at his apartment as part of a tour. He was magnificent; so accomplished. He spoke English very well and was hospitable. His piano was in tune. It looks like things have changed since one of these reviews! There were only three of us and it was an enriching experience. I... More

The idea of historical salon music performance is admirable, but somehow it felt like a tourist trap. As a professional musicians, we found the performance pretty average. Also, the old piano was charming, but in desperate need of tuning. Mr Fellegi spoke only Hungarian so we did not understand the introductions to sonatas at all. The concert was tip-based and... Based on the other TripAdvisor review, my young teenage daughter and I signed up to attend a Sunday morning concert at Mr. Fellegi's home. Although our entire trip to Budapest was lovely and unforgettable, this concert may well have been the highlight. Budapest is a musical city, and we took advantage of the opera and listened to music elsewhere: but... More

Adam Fellegi is a pianist of reknown, who decided in the early 90ies, that the classical music concert system is infected with "snobismus gravissimus". He decided on a different setup and opened his own apartment to small groups of people interested in music. He now regularly gives concerts, with richly annotated introductions, also in foreign langauges, that bring pieces of... More
