We spent a lovely morning walking the length of Margaret Island. Beautiful Japanese gardens and the musical fountains are a must see. Would be great to go back with the kids and make use of the park and swimming facilities

I walked the island from one end to the other, and enjoyed it. There is a lot of construction going on however, which means lots of dust and noise. When all this is done, the island will be a great place to spend time. The...More

The island is beautiful, but he parks inside it are even more so. Sitting beside the river or jogging along the banks seemed to be a very good idea there!

Went for a run around the island early in the morning. Purpose built track and lovely views across the river, although the island itself is somewhat of a building site!

If you want to have good activity that it's your place. It will be very nice family-friendly place but now they still build and organise the place. There you can't eat or drink something if you don't bring it by yourself .

For Budapest, this island between the banks of the
Danube represents a green oasis, especially during
summer when its emerald spaces are much enjoyed by
both locals and tourists. The gardens here are very
picturesque; the flowers in full bloom give the
landscape a variety of hues; the fountains add an air
of freshness, making walks peaceful, joyful and
romantic. A leisurely stroll will uncover a variety of

I don't think it's worth spending time walking around the park at the moment. It's still under construction.

Can one walk to Margaret Island from Pest or must you use some sort of transport? Is it possible to walk from one end of the island to the other? What are the particulars for renting a bike here? It sounds like a lovely place to explore so wondering what options are available to do that. Thanks for a reply.
