Considering that this is not what you would usually consider high season, I was surprised by the crowds. I did not climb to the upper levels but even from the ground the views across the river are great.

We took the Castle Bus tour up to Buda Castle and then onward to Fisherman’s Bastion and Mattias Church. The views across the Danube are absolutely spectacular up here. Great views of Parliament across the way as well.

walking around is free and lovely. If you want to go to the top, there is a small charge. the restaurant is expensive.

It is free to see outside and walk on some of it , but you have to pay a small fee to climb the towers for a great view. It is open all year .

Sure, should not be a problem. It may be a little cold, but otherwise i don't see any problem with it. Make sure to visit the church right next to it as well.
