Buda Castle or the Royal Palace is situated on Castle Hill on the Buda side. Lovely buildings and amazing views of the Danube and Pest. A must see. All lit up at night.

You can walk around the Castle Buda grounds for free but if you want to enter the museum there is a charge. The charge is determined according to a number of factors. Look on the website.

It's a short very enjoyable walk, plenty to see, make sure to visit the hospital in the rock on the other side, well worth the effort!

I use Maps on my iPhone. The walking directions and public transportation directions work amazingly well.
