We had a nice afternoon at the Budapest zoo, there'r are plenty of animals to see but make sure you have a look at the map before you start walking to optimize your time spent there. A few hours will surely fly by with ease.

Initially after reading reviews I was sceptical as to the treatment of the animals but it was a really good day out!! They have hundreds of different animals, and the African Sahara section is particularly good! They have a lot of space per animal and...More

Visited the zoo with my daughter. Animals seemed happy and zoo area was clean. Prices were extremely reasonable while inside the zoo. Lovely to see some animals out and free. Highly recommend, well worth a visit

I've been to a fair share of Zoos but this one was absolutely stunning, the layout is very easy to navigate round starting with the African Zone and following around the world, the animals were on top form also, big recommend!!!

It might be nice if you are not hoping to see a botanical garden part... It is purely a zoo. There are all kinds of animals, kept in rather small spaces, info not in english.

Apart from the architectural oddity of the Elephant House looking like a mosque, this is a place to be avoided. The captives are not in a happy place. The zoo has a run down aura to it. A place to avoid.

This zoo surprised! Most animals have well sized and kept "cages" and the zoo is huge and full of plants which makes it very charming. Without seeing the museum we spent 4 hours just doing the tour of the zoo. The price is only 2500...More

Hello! Are the Zoo and Botanical Garden separate? I'd love to see the Botanical Garden, but I'm not interested in the zoo, and it would be great if I could pay for one and not the other.

We spent the whole day in the zoo as it is HUGE and we still didn't get to do everything! It's well worth it though!
