We had cruised along the Danube into Budapest. What a sight! Beautiful, majestic buildings wherever we looked. Castles, churches, parliament building etc. There are plenty of options to view these by walking along the river or taking a boat cruise. At night, there are tours...More

We were lucky to experience Budapest from the Danube both night and day. Some may say that the lighting is wasteful, but it sure make the even more magical!!!

The river has several beautiful bridges, including the Elizabeth bridge and the Kings bridge. We took a night cruise on the Danube and it was like a fairy tale, seeing the castle , Matthtias church and all the other building brilliantly lit.

The Danube covers many other countries, including Budapest, therefore other citizens benefit from this wonderful stretch of water. It is a busy thoroughfare with yachts, commercial boats and cruises. Not to be missed!

Still beautiful to see, use to be able to swim in there, now does not look as clean. Lots of boat traffic, even a floating yellow city bus can be seen if lucky

The river embrace Buda and Pest. Enjoy a cruise. My experience is during the day. Just one hour. Dock 10, near the bridge Erzsebet, in the Pest bank. 9 €. Sunny day. Unforgettable experience going from this bridge until the north of the Margit island.
