Excellent walking tour of Budapest. Enjoyable and healthier walking rather than sitting on a tour bus.Great information from a very knowledgeable young guide. All questions from the tourists were answered very well and with pleasure.

Our guide, Regi was fantastic. She was informative, spoke very good English and very entertaining. She is a university student on a gap year and so, too young to have lived through the communist regime in Budapest. Nonetheless, she told us stories from her grandparents who lived through the regime and even brought a medal from her grandfather to show... More

My sister and I did the walking tour with Nori yesterday. Nori was very informative about the city, food, nightlife, and places to see (and not see). She was great! Thanks Nori!

I did two of the tours available, the Free Red Budapest Tour and the Free Tour. I did the first one with... I'm not quite sure about the name, somehow Regi sounds familiar to me, but I'm not 100% sure. She showed us a medal from his grandfather, if that helps with recognition, and she was very nice and told... More

I can say I was very fortunated to have Szabi as a guide. Very polite, informative and full of knowledge, he covered both sides of the city in a spectacular way. The 3 hours that we spent with him were truly a history and culture lesson. All the spots and facts were amazingly covered and, at by the end, I... More

Excellent informed guide to the key sites found in Budapest, professional but fun delivery kept the group engaged throughout. I believe we were guided through the tour by Rita (November 25th PM), who was great!

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
