Photography enthusiasts and curious to see this palace do not miss the opportunity. A short distance from the Budapest Opera House a very special corner.
Entrance, staircase and its railing, windows, doors to see and then the exhibition that is proposed for fans.
Suggested stop.

A nice one room bookstore to buy English & Hungarian language photography books. Good selection and also selling cards and prints. One floor up on a busy street, easy to miss the entrance. Nice and cool inside.

Beautiful building both inside and outside. Can not be recommended for people with mobility problems as you have to climb many many stairs to reach the exhibition. Interesting exhibitions.

The seven-story beautiful Art Nouveau building, once home to the artist Mai Mano and to his studios, now houses rooms for photo exhibitions. Today, we can see interesting works by Finnish photographer Maija Astikainen, who gives the dogs human qualities in her pictures. The other exhibit is Nabuyoshi Araki's “Sentimental Journey", which captures the moments of his honeymoon with his wife, Yoko.
I have seen interesting thoughtful exhibitions in a unique building.

The building itself is great, but the the exhibit was okay. Nothing impressive, but if you have spare time and you're into photography then why not.

My visit here was a serious anti-climax. It is a nice building externally but little to see inside except the frescoes used by the photographer as backdrops. They had a small portrait exhibition of large format prints taken in a black ghetto in Washington. They supposedly depicted life there but to me were really just a collection of family portraits - the only detail that told of life was the barred windows and doors on houses in the background.

The building serves as a place for photography exhibitions, it was formerly the studio of the photographer Mai Mano. Visited it exclusively because of the building itself, but the current exhibition wasn't that bad either. The price was 1500, which is not much, but there is not much to see inside apart from a gorgeous stained glass window, and the frescoes that were originally used as a background by the photographer.
