This was the best circus I have ever visited. The tickets were very reasonable for a Weds afternoon showing (approx £3 per adult) and I would have paid so much more. There was so much variety and all of the acts were unique and talented. There are snacks available if you having been on the move all day, and an... More

We saw a very nice show (Ludas Matyi). It was in hungarian, but there should be no issues understanding it for anyone. Check it out, really cool. Plan ahead. No tickets available on site, usually full house.

This is one of the only permanent circuses in the world host to an international circus festival in the spring. The show changes periodically so do return. Regardless of language, it is a delight for everyone. And there is not a bad seat in the house. It is an intimate venue with live music & all of the bells &... More

The talent, passion and dedication of the artists was clear to see, and the folkloric / fable aspect of the show was very interesting and enjoyable. Booking this unseen and not understanding Hungarian I was very surprised when a live elephant was introduced near the end of the show. It let the whole experience down for me and it shames... More

Great circus to watch with the kids. Although the actors speaks Hungarian its still easy to understand what is happening. The virtuoso performance is wonderful accompanied by live music. Highly recommended!

The circus show that we saw was a combination of a folkloric tale and circus acts. The fact that the story was told in Hungarian song was really not a problem -we were able to get the gist of the story. Small , intimate theatre with comfortable seats. Everything was so professional-the singing, the live orchestra, the beautiful costumes, the... More

We were amazed by the circus we saw in St. Petersburg, so knew that we had to see this one. There was no way it could be as good, but it is nothing like you can see in the US. The venue is small. We had front row seats for a small price. There is a live orchestra playing throughout... More

Fun circus, our two year old loved it! It was very visual and the language barrier was not a problem. In a central location in the middle of the park, facing the thermal baths. Was a great thing to do on a cold winters day.

We were looking for an indoors entertainment with our children (11.5 & 5), while travelling in Budapest. We chose to go to the Great Circus (also named "Capital Circus of Budapest"). This proved to be an excellent choice! The show lasts over 2 hours. The circus staff are all charming athletes, gracefully performing their acts, hypnotizing the audience with breathtaking... More

We visited the Great Circus of Budapest several times in the past and it keeps getting better every year. You would do well to buy tickets on-line to avoid disappointment, as the demand is usually high and shows do sell out. Our kids love the Circus, always a great entertainment. Highly recommended !
