Go at night

This building is spectacular - viewing at night adds to the majesty and you can only wonder how much it intimidated the heathens across the river

This is one of the most interesting cathedral in Hungary with rich history behind. It's quite close to Budapest so it's easy to reach and really worth to visit. Please take care about the opening hours.

Ornate, neo classical style, worth a visit to see the huge dome plus the great views. It is the centre of the Hungarian Catholic church. Buy joint tickets to all you want to see and it is cheaper.

The building is impressive but if you want to visit the panorama hall and the other parts that need a ticket to enter you have to buy the tickets outside, at the entrance. We had to walk all the way back and get the tickets because you can't get them at the stairs/entrance to the museum part

The building of the present church took place on the foundation of several earlier churches. The first was built by Stephen I of Hungary between 1001–1010 (as the original Saint Adalbert church), the first cathedral in Hungary, which was burned down at the end of the 12th century. It was rebuilt, and even survived the Mongol invasion of Hungary. It... More

Inflexible ticket seller didn't let me join the tour because I was 3 minutes late. The next tour did not start on time because a big group did not come on time. There was no reason that I had to join in a big group who don't understand English. On top of that, there were not much to see. Only... More

Breathtaking building both from the outside and the inside. Also very nice view from the hill. A part of Hungarian history, you should not miss it.
