Spent nearly 2 hours going round the grounds and on a tour. The guide spoke very good English and made an effort to translate after he'd done his spiel to the group. Nice cafe inside. Photo machine to send e-postcards with your photo for free too! Would recommend the room with the mediaeval horoscopes!

Although I've lived most of my life in Hungary and studied quite some Hungarian history in a Hungarian university I never realized this castle would be something important / nice to look at. While joking that this castle looks exactly as a kindergarten child would draw and wondering why would you build it in the valley rather than on the... More

I loved it from the very first time I visited the castle, and that love only grew along the years as I saw it transform from ruins to a beautiful and functioning museum.

It is located in a great spot, the castle is just amazing. WE went in February so it wasn't overcrowded. You can go inside almost all of the rooms, my favorite was the one filled with swords and armors and of course the knight's great hall!

Great castle. But substantial amount of renovation. Nicely done. Not expensive £10 for 2 adults 2 kids. Guides available. Interior a bit sparse But well worth a visit.

You can see that castle from the other side of the town. It' renovated and looks really nice. But the best is panorama from one of the towers. I's really worth going there :-) It's beautifully illuminated at night.

There are a lot of attraction even we had a middle age live music during our visitation. They have restaurant and coffee bar and a lot of tourist shops. Lilafüred is very close (10 minutes) and do not miss it!

On a weekday we went to explore the castle, when we arrived there was an English tour getting ready to start, however with a 4yo we were unable to attend the tour. The rooms echoed a lot and it was hard to hear over talking (or screaming) so we walked around and explored independently. The rooms were very clean and... More
