This tower is symbolic for Sopron and was used to alert the community in case of a fire. Now it just gives you an amazing view! The passage underneath is pretty for pictures as well.

The Fire Tower was recently renovated and they built a museum arround it. It is the one of the main attractions in Sopron, 'Must see' and can not avoid it, as it is just on the main square:)

Nice view from up there but entrance fee its too much for that to be honest, but at least it has a panoramic view from the top of the tower.

It´s really worth to go up. The price is ok. You have a beautiful view of the historic Sopron. The stairs and the space inside is small so only go up if you´re not claustrophobic.

The renovational work was fantastic in the tower. The underground Roman ruins are interesting and the visitor area reminds me of the Notre Dame's underground exhibition in Paris. The visitor center is modern with an elevator and a shop, but there is not a restroom...More

We visited the Fire Tower on a lark. The history of the tower is quite interesting and you have to go to the top. We did it right before sundown. The view is spectacular! We stayed until after dark and the view was even better....More

Climb the stairs (116) and you will see the splendid view on the city of spires. The admission is not expensive, 1150HUF for an adult. When climbing the stairs look at the walls when the tower history is decribed.
