Cool communist architecture. Lots of neat displays, some in English. Front desk staff did not speak English when I was there and a few embarrassing misspelled words in the displays. Outside displays are fun, especially the partisan bunker. Worth the visit.

A very interesting museum . You can get an English speaking guide if you book ahead. The main historical guides on each section are very clear in English. This was a return visit as we found it interesting the first time and wanted a return visit , with a guide it was 10e the entry for seniors was .70e !!... More

An extraordinary looking museum from the outside but inside it is a walking history of the events particularly of 1944/1945. Don't miss a visit here both for the museum inside and the outdoor displays of tanks, guns and an aircraft you can go inside.

The building itself is worth seeing. Explications in English. Not very big but enough to inform yourself on the Uprising

Special event prevented easy entrance. Walked around the outside and viewed the war machine displays. Many groups would come in, ignore the signs and climb up on the tanks for pictures. See pictures

My boyfriend took me here as he wanted me to get am idea of his national history. I was nice to go to the museum and read about how Slovakia finally were able to rebel against the nazi regime and become allies with UK USA France etc. Some of the artefacts and things I read will definately stay with me... The Uprising Museum is a strange UFO-shaped double building with artifacts from the Second World War, including uniforms and weapons. There's plenty of light to see these in detail and many of them have a written story to tell (or you can pay for a tour guide if you're lazy reading :P). There is an area where old movies are...
