A nice war memorial which is rare for the Soviets. The main statue is Floodlight at night and can be seen from a distance. Easily located on a hill at the Northern end of the old quarter and not to far from the main railway station. This is not an ideal walk for people with walking difficulties due to the... More

This is a wide nice quiet place. Maybe it means more for the locals than foreigners but I liked the calm good oxygen atmosphere and incredible view to city. If they could write in some place English explanation on the statues since not all foreigners come from the balkans to understand similar language.. Just not much to see..maybe more enjoy... More

Having seen some of the war graves in France we were anxious to see an example of one from the war on the Eastern Front. We were not disappointed. Very imposing statute which can be seen from miles and is lit up at night. Graves well tendered with signage in Slovak, Russian , English . German. Bus service from town... More

This was a surprising visit. The monument is enormous and shows how the country was dependent on the Soviet Union after the II WW.

Strangely enough, there is nothing anywhere that says when this memorial was built. It is a quiet and reflective area and a reminder of how many people sacrificed their lives in WW II. There are also good views down over the castle and Bratislava.

Great memorial honoring the near 7000 Russian soldiers that died liberating Bratislava during WWII. Also has great views of the city and Bratislava Castle.

One of the best places in Bratislava, you can see the whole city from there. Nights here are magic. Recommend you to take a walk here when the sun goes down :)
