A trip to the castle takes about 15 minutes on foot from the city center. The view of the city from above is magnificent. A non-cost excursion and a must-see in Bratislava.

Very Imposing castle overlooking town and the Danube. The walk up is not for the faint of heart. There is a road up the back side for those that do not wish to make the climb. I suggest a taxi (no Uber in this city)...More

Beautiful castle overlooking all of the capital and the Danube river. It has a baroque garden too, restaurant and a souvenir shop.

I like old castles and always visit them on my journeys. Bratislava castle is not as big as in Ljubljana, for example, but it is charming. the walk to the castle from the old city center is very easy.

It’s location is ideal from where you can see the whole Bratislava city. Unless you have a guide you cannot understand anything since the exhibits are rather confusing and mixed up with very few reflecting the Maria Theresia period.

Firstly, I'm looking at my title and wondering what kind of toff would start with that, but I did and I will stand by it. The castle was easily reached by bus, with the stop close to the gates. Admission was not too steep and...More

€10 per adult with five floors of historical/archaeological/artistic interest. Felt exhausted by the end due to lots of stairs! Stay hydrated!

Unfortunately we visited on New Years Day, so unsurprisingly it wasn’t open to visit. However, worth a walk up to take a view over the city.

When we first went in we felt it was very sparse, however, the further up we went the better it was. Actually really enjoyed it, and a disabled badge meant we only paid for one of us, so a real bargain

Sono circa ottocento metri a piedi, a seconda del giro che si fa. L'altezza non è tantissima ma sufficiente per una buona visione, direi circa 200 m di dislivello

High above the river with great views and I would take the word of the previous responder on the exact height. There is public transportation to get there although we visited as part of an organised city tour. Walking there... More
