Myself and partner decided to hike up from the old town to the TV tower which took about 1.5hours and all uphill. Public transport seemed slack and we didn't actually see many buses at all so thought best to walk and make a day trip of it. Unfortunately, it was extremely foggy during our visit.. So not much of a view to be had once in the tower (however, I hear the views are great). We went to the 'bar'... Which I would describe more as a cafe, it felt a bit odd to have a beer there. Wasn't the most relaxing as there is a kids corner and playing games etc. Toilets are quirky with being able to see the view from your loo!

On the top of tower is one floor restaurant and one floor coffee bar. We drink coffee and enjoy city view. You can go there by lift or by foot. There is nice roads in forest. Back to the city you can take bus 201. It stop in city centre.

This TV Tower looks pretty quirky but is not easy to get to and doesn't have a viewing platform.
At the top is a cafe and then a slightly pricier restaurant but these are the only real ways to get a good long view as there is no viewing platform area as most tv towers have nowadays.
You can go up in the lift to the cafe and walk straight through it to the stairs to go up to the restaurant tho. You'll find the toilets at these stairs also and believe it or not they also have a view so go hide in there and have a look at the breathtaking view in peace.
The tv tower is not easy to get to via public transport and we got a rack up there from the centre of town which cost us a mere 10 Euros. Well worth it trust me.
We then walked about 10 minutes down the hill from the tower to get to the chairlift that will take you back down the hill in a fairly fun, cheap and quirky manner :-)
At the end of the chairlift ride you'll see a road with a bus stop. This bus turns up twice an hour and will take you the rest of the way down the hill. Sorted.
It's free to go up the Kamzik to tower but only worth the trip if you've got half a day to kill. The tower cafe and restaurant open at 11am each day

I would recommend seeing Kamzik TV Tower for the tourists in Bratislava. Can get there by car or the public transport (trolleybuses go just 15 minutes walk away). Need to take a short hilly walk up to the tower. Once you get there you can choose to go cafe or restaurant. The prices there are a bit higher, but you can observe the whole Carpathian mountain range and Bratislava. Accessible also in winter.
If you dont want to see the "poshier" restaurant you can hang outside in stands selling beer, hotdogs etc.

nice place to have a walk and to visit the restaurant. Normally it is booked out. There are two floors. On the lower level it looks like a restaurant on the upper lever as a lobby bar in the hotel. The variety of dishes is very limited and very expensive. So do not be hungry when you come there:-)
there are nice views and one can make amazing photoed.
Good access with a car.
So, my advice is to go there for a beer by the sundown and afterthat to have a rest in the night forest below the tower having bb-q...

Location: Very North of the City
Price: ?

The 203 bus will take you to the bottom of the forest and then you'll have to walk 30-45 minutes through the uphill forest to get to the TV tower. Uber doesn't seem to work that far out and taxies will charge a ridiculous amount.

We walked the 45 minutes uphill through the forest only to be told that the whole tower was reserved for an event. Some signage or clarity at the bottom of the hill would have been very grateful as I'm pretty sure we weren't the only people who climbed up to walk back down again.

So, if you're searching for a good view but don't fancy being skint or having a heart attack, the UFO tower or Michaels Gate both offer great city views.

Great helpful staff, lovely views from Austria, Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovakia. The restaurant rotates through 360 degrees and the food is excellent and not too expensive, Very nice static cafe on the floor below

TV tower is the first sight you will see when approaching the city. It's located on the Kamzik hill and accessible from the downtown by car. There are three restaurants here, the middle one with a rotating platform which makes one turn in some 45 minutes. Go here when weather is nice!

It may not be one of the top attractions for most, but it’s worth the visit if you have a few hours to spare.

You can take the 201 bus from the centre and get off at the last stop. It’s still a fair walk to the tower, it’s a nice pleasant walk through the forest however (or you can follow the road). Be warned though – bizarrely it’s not signposted, as most attractions don’t seem to be in Bratislava. You can head in the direction of the tower, but once you get to the forested area, can lose sight of it.

It doesn’t have a viewing platform as such, just a brasserie, and a pricier restaurant which offer the views. There is no charge to go up unlike other towers. We opted for the Brasserie.

The Brasserie is small, quiet and cosy. It offers superb views of the city and surrounding forests. It’s quite peaceful and relaxing to look out over Bratislava. Even the toilets have a fantastic view.

Food was excellent, really tasty, and very good value for the location. Service was excellent. They took their time to translate menu for us. The waitress even went out of her way to find my partner a phone charger to use.

Would recommend a visit.
