It is a very sad place …… but a place everyone must go and visit. The Seventh Fort was the killing grounds of thousands of Jews, men women and children who were brutally murdered only because they were Jewish. 95% of Lithuanian Jewry were killed in the War. More were killed by Lithuanian collaborators and nationalists than by the Nazis.... More

VII fort is not only a museum - it gathers people with passion for history, science and growing. I've been here many times and all of these visits were great. The crew of this fort is amazing - always cheerful and helpful, organising the most entertaining events, and the kids love their educational progammes! Long story short - I love... More

After visiting the wonderful 9th Fort I was really looking forward to seeing the 7th too. Tiny museum which took about 5 minutes. From there you walk around the outside. There's places where the ammunition etc. was stored. Just a brick hole really. Then you walk through a tunnel. Wow! Then another hole of brick. Some wooden observation posts, which... More

I love it. I was there 2 times and never disappointed. The entrance price is very good and you can see quite enough for what you are paying.

Seventh Fort is little bit older than Ninth Forth, which has lot of concrete and completed 1924. Seventh Fort completed 1902 and is made of bricks and has much more details on the structures. It’s interesting place and has a little museum inside. When walking in the area, it was little hard to see all the forms of bastions, because... More

We took a guide, which was only 3 EUR extra for 2 hours. We had a great experience exploring amazing fortress and prisoners rooms, plenty of rooms to view and great time spent. It was interesting even if you don't know history of Soviet Union.
