Great for a traffic free stroll

We wandered up and down this street a couple of times. Plenty to see in "posh shops" as well as some interesting architecture. Numerous well priced coffee shops

This pedestrianised street takes you from Vytauto Parkas at its East end to the start of the Old Town at its west end. There are trees and birds and flower sellers and shops and cafés and restaurants and university buildings. There are street performers and displays and it is both interesting and informative. It also takes you to a lot... More

A stroll along this avenue will take you to the beautiful church on the end of it. Fancy shops and nice coffeeshops.

A lot of street was being reconstructed, so hard to tell if it was a lively and lovely as all the guidebooks say.

In Roman Kalitas park there is a granite stone in the ground and a memorial on the site where the 19 year old burned himself alive in 1972 to protest Soviet occupation.

Nice boulevard with nice a tree alley with a beautiful church at the end of the boulevard. This place is full of restaurants and caffees so you can take a walk and then relax.

The Laisves Aleja is one heck of a long (and straight) boulevard! It probably has the most extensive range of shops and stores on offer, as well as a number of bars/restaurants towards the top end (near the church). The only slight disappointment was the area at the top end (near the church) which currently resembles a builders yard, with... More

Located in the center of the a good walk from end to end Lots of outdoors cafes, coffee shops. You will find some very upscale stores along the whole length of it At one end is old town, at the other a huge church. Very impressive.
