Cemetery gives you a chance to take a look into past. For example plenty of Polish names tells you about joint history with Poland, they had union with Poland, like Austria-Hungary. Take a walk at cemetery and admire headstones and look old names.

It was not as impressive as I expected, but the cemetery is at a beautiful location, many of the gravestones are old and there are some nice sculptures and small chapels. A good place for a quiet walk at an atmospheric place.

This cemetery made one of the top impression on me when in Vilnius. I didn't care much for a big names but a very specific atmosphere of this place. First, the cemetery is located on the hilly grounds. This makes it look like terraces. Secondly,...More

Little indications to address visitors. We walked and walked before we were sent to the right direction. The place looks abandoned and there is no way to recognize the tombs. Pity.

nice to get away from the bustle of the city and enjoy quiet surroundings- not that the residents were likely to be noisy!

Is the oldest cementary in Vilnius. Placed on hills, with beautiful sculptures. A lots of polish names. Worth to see.

It's not too difficult to find. On our way we enjoyed some other good views. The cemetery on the hills is beautiful. But don't go there in darkness: it can be tricky to walk.
