You can easily spend several days wandering the streets of old town Vilnius enjoying the beautiful old buildings, many churches and street cafes. It is really the perfect city holiday with some high street fashion shopping as well as local designs. Food and drinks are great. Museums and sights are all in convenient 10-15 min distance, so everything feels close... More

My husband and I visited Vilnius Old Town earlier this week. We didn't set a specific path-just kind of ambled around as sights peaked our interest. This is the perfect place to do this kind of aimless wandering, and it lead to so many discoveries. Photo ops, places to get a beer or glass of wine, and a wealth of... More

Stayed in Old Town 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. Most of the sights and restaurants are here so very convenient. Old cobblestone streets so wear comfortable shoes!

This is Eastern Europe's largest Old Town and has Unesco status. Pilies Street runs thru the center of the Old Town. At the north end, the street is mostly cobbled and has a lot of souvenier shops and restaurants. As part of the two walking tours we took, we went in to some hidden courtyard areas off the street to... More

Lot of museums some free, churches galore well worth a visit. Plenty to see and do, get a map from the tourist information centre in town hall or just wander round the little cobbled side streets and you will find things of interest. TIP....Wear good walking shoes

Vilnius's "old town" area is quite small, and can easily be traversed on foot if you're up for a bit of a walk. Between the vast multitude of shops, restaurants, cafés and street attractions there's always something to see or do, and whole area is easy to get around. In fact, the only downside are the cobbled streets that make... More
