A monument that is in a park in Tallinn's historical city center. I wouldn't call it the most interesting place in the city, but it surely adds to the city's historical value and it's also nicely reconstructed.

ONLY OPEN 2 DAYS A YEAR. So you can only take photos amid lots of tour groups. Beautiful tower, would be nice to go up!

This is a lovely tower (rarely open to the public) overlooking the palace and the cathedral.
There's a lovely garden next to the tower - the Governor's garden.

I only saw it from the outside and don't really know if you can go inside or even up to the tower. It sounded unlikely because of being part of a government building now.

Pikk Hermann is a defensive tower dating back to 1360 and you can climb the 250 steps for the most amazing view from the viewing platform. It is tallest tower of the old town wall. The building in itself is a very impressive looking with lots of history being built into the town wall.

We saw this only from the outside, the tower is quite impressive. There is a small garden park and viewing platform next to it.

Pikk Hermann (Tall Hermann) is one of the many defensive towers built into the Old Town walls. Pikk Hermann is much taller and much more slender than the other towers (particularly 'Fat Margaret'). There is a viewing platform at the top, after a very steep climb, which gives a great view over Tallinn.

Again this area is at the top of the hill and people with mobility issues should check out the mini tram in the Square to see if this can be seen via a different route. Lots to see in this area.

Worth checking out as part of Old Town experience. The history of Estonians flying flags here is interesting and part of the experience. Guide book or tour guide helpful to make this tall tower have more meaning.
