This jumble of 14th- and 15th-century architecture with its medieval walls, needling spires and twisting, cobblestone streets is also the site of many of the city's important historic attractions and museums including the House of the Brotherhood of the Blackheads, St. Catherine's Guild and the 15th-century Guildhall that now houses the History Museum.

We spent three days in Tallinn. During our stay, we basically walked around the whole area; beautiful buildings and wonderful medieval atmosphere.

Tallin's old town is very well preserved. Lots of shops, restaurants and sights. Area is really clean. Some of the best shops are off on the side streets. City hall is in great condition for it's age.

Old Town is very pretty and great to walk around in, but watch the cobblestone, they are ankle twisters. Lots of Amber for sale. Churches are very interesting also.

Took the ferry from Helsinki to wander about the Old Town. We had a great day wandering around and eating and shopping in this very old town. Recommend it highly.
