The Museum of Occupation (MoO) or "glass house" is situated a short walk of around 100 meters from Freedom Square (FS) as one looks at the glass cross in FS and up the slope behind it. Entry costs are about 6 Euro, 4 Euro concession,13...More

We found this small museum interesting and very useful to understand the recent history of the Estonian people. It did not have any real "wow" factor in our view but we are glad we went. The stories of individuals gave a real human perspective. The...More

a small museum but very interesting with lots of war time exhibits and screen audio. It is also possible to get a warm drink. Very close to the old town, well worth a visit

We only had an hour and a half in this museum and I could have spent a lot longer here. The museum gives you a good understanding of the impact that occupation has had on Estonia throughout history; in particular more recent history. As someone...More

The museum consists of artefacts from the period of the occupations but largely consists of four 28 minute videos that need to be viewed in sequence. Could be more engagingly presented.

We spent two hours here, but probably could have spent at least double that. We opted for the audio guides, but I don't think that added much to what already was on offer for English speaking people. There already was a lot to read and...More

The exhibition of artefacts is supported by several screens in a timeline showing clips describing the history from 1939-1991. A harrowing account of a country trying to regain its independence from its oppressors. Not to be missed.

Just a short walk from Old Town, this Tallinn museum couldn't be more different. It tells the story of Estonia's brief independence, occupation by the Soviets, the Nazis, and the Soviets again, then the reassertion of independence in 1991. While it has plenty of interesting...More
