When I entered, I thought it's going to be a very quick look around, since I was not really into Estonian history or into history or museums in general. But it turned out to be one of the best experiences in Tallinn for me. This museum is the best at getting my interest in the subject I am pretty much... More

We have visited this museum several times over the years but this is still my sons favorite museum in all Tallinn. Especially he loves the gun room but everything else also. We can spent hours in there. Now then he is older and capable to move around by himself, I enjoy our visits also more because I can learn so... More

This Guild Hall is the Estonian Historical Museum. It is located north of Old town city center and close to other major attractions.

Very dull place - a few strangely picked up objects in showcases, not really much connected to each other, accompanied with erratic texts. Not clear, to whom the authors address: it's too complicated for preschool children, but too boring for anyone older.

I must have come at the wrongest of times as the museum alarms went off and locked out the entire top floor of the museum, so it was effectively shut when I arrived. But when the staff found out what a long way I have come from they volunteered to show me around the rooms still open for free )))... More

The Great Guild Hall is just a short street away from the beautiful Town Hall Sq in central Tallin. It's located in a long beautiful Pikk street, perfectly matching other buildings in it. In plane Gothic style it was erected to honor Tallin becoming a member of the Hansa league of Baltic cities. It houses a small history museum explaining... More

The history of Estonia would have deserved a bit less boring museum. Too much to read, too little interaction. If you don't mind reading looooots and lots of captions and texts you might enjoy the museum, but i prefer museums that are easier approachable like Lennusadam (which I absolutely adore)

This building hostes a small but fantastic historic museum. The hous interior in it self is worth a visit and so is sertainly the historical exhebition. Do not miss it but be prepered that you will use more time here then antisipated.

Fun activity for a rainy day. Learned a lot of Estland and Tallinn, cool to see this great old building and the history behind it. We really traveled back in time here! Will recomend it for every age group!

I loved this museum. You learned a lot about the medieval times and the history of Tallinn. The building is an original guild hall and houses lots of history in itself.
