Our experience of the nearly 800-year-old St. Olav's Church came in two parts. First, we attended Sunday worship there. While, for most, the church is simply a tourist attraction, it has a resident congregation (now Baptist rather than Lutheran); and while we unfortunately could not...More

Very nice Lutheran Church. Interior is very simple but beautiful! Double headed eagles adorn the chandeliers. The Gothic aches are highlighted with large windows. The Altar is understated with a painting of Christ's Crucifixion. This church once had the tallest spire in Eastern Europe. Highly...More

That's it in a nutshell really. Absolutely fine if you're relatively fit and okay with heights. And fully worth the effort.

Incredible views of the city, one of the most amazing experiences being up on the platform. If your afraid of heights I would be cautious, the stairs are also pretty long and winding. But worth it. Fabulous Tallinn!

Look shortly at the church, but climbing the tower is a must for good mountain clumbers :-) Climbing up (and then: down) 256 high and narrow steps is a real tough experience, but a view from the highest point in the city is really worth...More

First of all one has to climb 258 steps on a narrow spiral staircase, then at the top one has a gangplank about a foot wide to walk around, so if you suffer from claustrophobia or even mild vertigo this is not for you. There...More

We saw so many churches in the world, but this one, named after the Norvegian King Olaf, occupies special place in our memory and mind. Robust and elegant in same time, the structure of Olevista Church, here in Old Town of Tallinn, soars to the...More

The tower is only 3Euro to climb. It is very narrow with large steep medieval stairs. It is very difficult to pass on the stairs but after saying all that, it is worth the climb. The views are spectacular. Don't do the climb if you...More

Good evening! Free entrance to the church, but entrance to the tower - 2.00 EUR (at least it was in the end of 2015).
