The view from Tallinn TV Tower is unique in Estonia as well as in all of...

The view from Tallinn TV Tower is unique in Estonia as well as in all of Northern Europe. Under your feet are the woods of Muuga. The captivating Tallinn Old Town and the glistening Baltic Sea in all of its majestic glory are off in the distance. When Estonia was still behind the Iron Curtain, this was for many Estonians a window on the free world - at night one could even catch sight of the lights of Helsinki. To illustrate the view, visitors can use multimedia screens: to increase the area visible in it or seeing what the place looked like in the past. It is a view that must be seen. And - experienced! Bus information The TV Tower is served by city buses 34A, 38 and 49 ("Teletorn" stop), as well as by CityTour and City Sightseeing tourist buses (green line, Mere pst - Teletorn). Handicapped-accessible.

I will admit to not having high expectations. And the bus journey out of the city from Tallin's hidden bus depot did not endear me any further to the tower. But this turned out to be a great place to visit. They have clearly put alot of work into the downstairs museum about how the site was built. All the... More

Pleasantly quiet at 10 am on a Saturday morning so walked straight in. 3D presentation then up the Tor to 360 views of forest, old and new Tallinn and of the botanical gardens. You can go up another floor and walk round attached to a belay if brave.

The TV tower is a bit far away from the city centre, but a direct bus does leave from the Viru Keskus and stops right outside the tower, taking about 30 minutes. The tower is then a short walk from the bus stop. You can spend a little while outside the tower, seeing various artefacts from the Soviet era attacks... More

Had to get a tram and bus to get here. The tower has some wonderful views, although it is best to visit early in the day or at sunset otherwise you don't get the best views on the old town in the light. The glass floors were pretty terrifying to walk over. Overall it is was quite interesting but quite... More

Make sure you take enough time because we had about an hour which was not enough to learn everything they have put down to the so-called robot-mushroom screens. I was a bit disappointed the restaurant was closed. I understand it's not the high season but even a cup of coffee and some snacks/cake would have been nice.

The concept of the TV-Tower is very interesting and on a high quality standard. Very friendly staff with good knowledge. Everything is well maintained and in a very good condition. The exhibitions and info center are interactive and the information is well chosen. They make a big effort concerning environmental friendliness. Technologies are up to date. All in all it... More

An elevator whisks you to the viewing platform over 100 meters in the sky. The views are spectacular! There are covered viewing holes in the platform that test your nerve to walk across or even look down, but they are perfectly safe. On a higher level, it is possible to walk outside on a protected platform that circles the tower.... More

Great place to look around. Very intersting interactive monitors for exploring surroundings;) We were told that the ticked is also for a movie on the first floor, but we went straight up and when we got down from the tower the lift opened at the exit side - so see the movie first!

Great for getting a grasp over Tallinn though the open air terrace nor the restaurant weren't available for the guests this time (a bummer!). Max an hour visit would do.
