About
Shoppe is the medieval outlet store that can be found inside the UNESCO Heritage building close to the Old Town Square in Tallinn. Dating back to the 14th century, the building houses not only Shoppe but also Olde Hansa - the world-renowned medieval restaurant. Shoppe sells an array of handcrafted items all of which have their roots and ancestry in the middle ages. Handmade ceramics, glassware, ironworks, shoes and other clothing garments can all be found within. In addition the Shoppe sells an array of handmade Schnapps, potted honeys, jams and other herbs and spices. Innovative, creative and different - Shoppe is worthy of a visit anytime of the year.

Go back in time as soon as you enter the shoppe.
They sell different types of soap such as tar and goat's milk.
Different schnapps can be bought and the pepper schnapps is particularly good.
The staff are so friendly and helpful and they are in the role of a medieval shopkeeper 100%.

We found this little store by luck just wandering around old town. Atmosphere is chilled. The young man who was in shop made us try local schnaps ( while we were standing on one leg and shouting in Estonian - as this is the lroper way to drink). We bought hand made suvenirs and the schnaps of course. On the way out we were given sweet almonds. This is possible the best souvenir shop in Talinn

I can say that this has been a true experience, since I feel it has been an enriching one thanks to the wonderful explanations and kindness of the shopkeeper, a young, friendly and smiling gentleman who warmly greeted me and my husband.
We had such a pleasant conversation and he showed us the really interesting way to properly drink Schnapps as it was done in the Middle Ages.
I wish to return to Olde Hansa shoppe as sono as possibile, since it has so much to offer, definitely not only top quality products.

Perfect medieval gifts that are handmade and reflect the age of the city, from candles to glasses and spices to fabrics.

Lovely shop close to the olt town square. Nice, friendly and medieval atmosphere, you can find estonian delicacies and have a taste. The shopkeepers wear medieval clothings and are very kind and friendly. Many nice and peculiar things to buy there. One of the best, definitely

Gorgeous little shop with wonderful and very friendly staff that really made us feel like we had just stepped into the 15th century. The gentleman who served us didn't just wrap our souvenirs, he gave us a wonderful and memorable experience, and at the end we even hugged. I will definitely stop here again next time I'm in Tallinn!
