About
The park is suitable for both: admirers of active and calm recreation. There are children playgrounds for all age groups, road for roller skating and pedestrian roads, cafes, parking lot and toilets in the park. The park is opened all year round. In winter park is an excellent place for distant skiing on a lighted trail. The access is very convenient; there is a parking place for 200 cars at the park. In 2010 a panoramic tower was opened here. The tower is 33, 5 m high and it reveals unforgettable view of Jurmala. The tower has 12 balconies on different levels so everyone can choose the height.

Nice stroll through the park, visited during winter, weather was sunny but cold. Lovely for photos of the trees, climbed the observatory tower (only stairs, no lift as I noticed), toilets could be used in the entrance of the park for free (very clean). Eating stalls were closed but it was super calm so I loved it. It is close to the shiny and colorful Orthodox church.

We came here on what was quite a wet day with our 4 year old son. We did the forest nets, and had an hour session. We were lucky to have the activity to ourselves, and we had the best time. We all laughed, ran, played and enjoyed the nets so much. We only got off because we were exhausted. Such a lot of fun and perfect for any age. The forest park itself is nice and quite with lots to do, and a small shop for refreshments. The toilets are a long walk which was a pain with having a small child, but the facilities were spotless. My husband went up the tower and enjoyed this.

We took our nearly 4 year old son here and he absolutely loved it. As well as the forested area which is lovely, there are multiple playgrounds suitable for a range of ages. Plenty of seating for the adults and cafés and ice-cream stands a-plenty. Just a short stroll from the Dzintari train station and another short stroll to Jūrmala beach.
A return train fare from Riga was a tiny €2.73 per adult.

We went to the seaside. Weather let us down - it was not enough to play by the sea - kids got sandy, wind was too cold.
We discovered that nice park built in seaside pain forest. Wooden paths through the blackberry plants and huge play grounds. Well done Jurmala for inventing such a fab place. Kids didn't want to leave.

Well, the title sums it up. Overall a nice park in Jurmala, between Majori and Dzintari (if you are coming from Majori, follow Jomas street till the very end of that walkers' street and then carry on in the same direction (there are some smaller streets). In 2-3 minutes you'll reach the park. There is no entrance fee. If the weather is nice, the right side of the park is occupied by children who have plenty to do there (but all the activities are of outdoor type). If you are not interested in climbing, jumping, skating etc., just go through the park and on the opposite side of it you'll find a very interesting structure - a wooden observation tower (its architecture is quite unusual - just googl Dzintari observation tower, than you'll see what I mean). it is also free of charge. If you climb it, you'll be able to see the sea, the river and - if the weather is nice - some higher buildings in Riga. In summer there is also a place to eat in the park. In winter unfortunately it is closed (the park itself stays open).

Take the train from Riga - it's less than
€2 for a ticket and you can stroll through this little forest. There's plenty of small activities you can attend if you want.
