Booked to see the Nutcracker and we were so glad we did. The seats are very affordable and the interior is beautiful too. An excellent way to spend a snowy afternoon. Book well ahead to get good seats but even the cheap ones aren't too...More

The opera itself is a magnificent building you have to see but it is best enjoyed when it fills up with the locals, young and old to enjoy the ballet, opera or orchestra. Most people dress up for the occasion but you could just show...More

Sadly we were not able to see the inside but the outside of the building is itself superb and the area in front of the building is worth seeing.

Fortunately our visit occurred when a performance of Rimsky Korsakov's Scheherazade was playing. Easily accessible, beautifully renovated, classical opera house, and a wonderful performance. A+

An impressive building from the outside, the inside is more beautiful and represents the art deco for which Riga is famous. The seats are comfortable, and top price only E15. Initially sceptical of an updated Figaro, this one really worked. This is not an opera...More

Absolutely breathtaking. The dancers were fabulous and the orchestra was superb. My friend Janet and I were sat on the front row directly behind one if the best conductors we have seen. As music teachers we certainly appreciate all the hours of rehearsal that go...More
