It costs €9 per adult for access to St Peter's and a trip to the top of the tower. To access the tower you climb 2 flights of stairs before taking the lift up (every 10 minutes) for the rest of the journey. There views are fantastic but it is very chilly, especially with the wind! There are some great... More

Excellent view of the city, even if it is difficult to take good pictures (sometimes it is crowded and there is a railing). Maybe a bit expensive but it is worth it, since you can visit also the church.

You get a great view of the old town of Riga from up here. We went up when the weather was minus 11 degrees and suggest wrapping up well if you go up in winter! Expensive now compared to times pre-euro, pretty sure the €9 price would stop me from visiting again which is a shame as I would like... More

Definitely take the elevator to the top of the tower to see what Riga and the surrounding countryside looks like from a bird's eye view. Amazing photo opportunity.

The view itself was fantastic looking across the rooftops and over the river. Don't expect any friendly chit-chat with the lift operator! Nothing to really see inside the church which was a disappointment.

If you like views, then you must go up this tower. A lift takes you up to the top and at busy times you may have to wait for a while. At the top, it is open to the elements of wind but under cover if raining, it was very cold the day we went but still the views of... More

Don't worry you don't walk to the top of the tower as there is a lift that takes you up every ten minutes. The views are amazing and gives you a good idea of where things are. Try and do this as one of your first things.

Charge of €9 per person to enter church but great view from top of tower. Also gives access to an exhibition inside church.

First, it's expensive compared to any of the other sites and viewing points (the library is free if you can stand the awkwardness). Second, the grumpy grandma behind the counter is just that. True Estonian hospitality. View rocks though and you'll recognize all the post cards after seeing this.

went up to top of tower via lift which carries only so many people, When up at top is extremely cramped, but great views. can also walk round the church when at bottom, which has some interesting history & photos.
