There's pretty much to do with children. We were there with 5 and 9 year olds and spent many hours. Unfortunately most of the text is in Latvian, but even then there's much to see and do. Quite many interactive things. Kids liked it.

A bit old-fashioned and i wish more of the information would have had English option as well. Old-fashioned but there was a lot to see for kids!

The museum was bit old-fashioned but worth a visit. The special exhibition on amber was modern and interactive, but the rest of the museum is more traditional. I found the entomology section most interesting and the marine life section most disappointing. The botany section was closed for renovation. Not everything worked that should have worked, information in English is available... More

Having paid just €1.14 (student) to get in I was really surprised with the quality of the museum. Lots of interactive exhibits for students. Most of the information was in Latvian with some simple cards of English nearby which makes it a bit difficult to understand everything but still a recommended way to kill some time if you're at a... This natural history museum has about 5 levels of great exhibits. Each one is of a high quality and has lots of interactive things for children as well. It was also very reasonably priced at €1.14 (student). The only downside is all the displays are in Latvian only, however, there are some books with translation if needed.

Charming museum with lots of interactive stuff for the children. The exhibition about amber was really great. There's a lot of stuffed animals, and some of them are really old, but I find it quite charming. The tickets are really really cheap!

I love nature, and I thought that in this museum I can learn something about Latvian nature. The tickets were cheap, really cheap. About 1€. And I am happy I didn't pay more. There are stuffed animals (but you know after decades of standing there the stuffed animals start to look weird) and there is a room explaining how the... More
