The tickets for the trip in the lift cost €9 each, this seems a little expensive but put it down to upkeep of the building on a whole. The lift runs every 10 minutes (or so) so there can be a bit of a wait....More

One of the two main churches in the Old Town. The austere Lutheran Church has an amazing Spire. It only dates from after WW 2 however.Touristy. Starting point for many walking tours.

This central Riga masterpiece left a big impression on me. It looks stunning in its grandeur over the surrounding houses. It looks best at night when lit up and apart from that grandeur leaves a mystical feel. Dating back to 13 cent when made of...More

You must take the lift to the viewing platform in the spire. Cold but worth it for the stunning panorama. Church also has a spectacular wooden altar which is stunning.

First mention of the St. Peter's Church is in records dating to 1209. The history of the church can be divided into three distinct periods: two associated with Gothic and Romanesque building styles, the third with the early Baroque period.

It liked the idea of the church to exhibit works of art. This place combines meditation with beauty.
