Amazing!

Even if you don't buy anything from these markets, you just need to go and see them for their sheer size and variety of goods. I wish we still had markets like these at home.

A lot of food and clothing on sale here, where locals would regularly shop. Interesting story about their origins

Wow this place is amazing. Your nose tells you which pavilion you are in before your eyes see it. In the fruit section the fresh strawberries smell had my mouth watering before I even saw the huge dark red fruit. The smokey smell in the sausage area was also exceptional. Who thought sitting and eating a cooked sausage out of... More

For some reason is mentioned as a landmark in Riga but other than being big- not sure this is a must sight unless u feel like buying fresh food for cooking or to eat some fresh caviar or barries while you stroll.

Loved it. Bought some delicious Latvian cheese and Georgian bread. Had a great chat with Labietis Bruery's bartender.

Just walk round this massive indoor and outdoor market to see how local people shop. There are huge halls for local fish, meat and vegetables and outside clothes and almost everything else you can imagine. Very close to the bus station.

See the market and also view the old Zeppelung hangaars. So modern markets in old building. Nice way of reusing historical buildings.

Made up of old hangers, this was a fun market place. There are small stores/stalls around the edges where you can purchase light meals. Otherwise, the vendors do a great job displaying their items. Each hanger has a different theme to it-fish, cheese/dairy, vegetables, etc. I really enjoyed walking around.
