If you have a free time in the old town go to this park. In summer you can take a small boat. In winter its full of various Christmas decorations and in autumn latvians celebrate independence day and making this park with great light objects.
During a visit to Riga this was suggested to me through trip advisor. The park is a lot bigger than it first appears and winds along the river. It was a crisp autumn day and the colours were beautiful.
Vermanes Garden Park is a lovely peaceful place to visit while passing the day in Riga. In autumn, the colours of the trees are spectacular and a real treat to see.
