This was OK, not a must do if you haven’t got time. We got to see the exhibition for free as the guided tour was booked up. It was very informative, but less of an exhibitoon. You could easily walk through in 10 min (I...More

You really need to book the tour to get the most out of this museum. The chilling part of this place is the cells and torture, execution chambers, which can only be accessed on the tour.Tour guide was excellent, very knowledgeable.

We were left very moved after visiting the KGB prison. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and spoke excellent English! Certainly not for children. Don’t forget to book your tour online in advance, otherwise you could be hanging around a while!

Our guide provided an interesting tour of the building what happened during those times of the KGB. We saw the cells that were used to keep the prisoners and our guide gave us an idea of what was being done to the prisoners.

This was a great opportunity to learn about the devastation wreaked by the KGB on the Latvian people, but the facilities, displays and personnel need a lot of work. The two women we encountered at the front desk on two different days acted as if...More

The exhibition was very interesting, a lot to read about, a lot of real peoples stories. A definite must do before it potentially closes - my only niggle is we were pushed down the free exhibition route and not given the option of the tour...More

An unassuming building from the outside but a wealth of history inside. It’s not for young children due to some of the stories. This is not just history - this is stuff in living memory. The guide was great and gave you a real sense...More
