Well worth the walking , about €20 each adult for guided tour which last about 2 hours - as the titles say be prepared for lots and lots of downwards steps - particularly at the start . You can take photos and there are free toilet out side and inside . There can be a some queues to get the lift back up

It is an amazing place. I have never seen anything like this before. The walls of this building are literally stuffed with branches. Through these wooden branches is dripping brine water so the air is fresh here. The sound of thousands of drops falling is very soothing. You can sit on a bench here and watch the water trickle down the branches.

You can enter the tower. There are two floors. There is a walkway in the first floor, so you can walk along the entire structure.

It is definitely worth visiting when you are in Wieliczka. The ticket costs 9 zł.

One of the worst things I've paid to do in all my travels. Can understand why you'd come here with children but for adults, it's terrible. You're trapped underground for 2.5 hours. The line and walk to the elevator to get out was about as long as the tour. Did I mention that the tour was excruciatingly boring and tedious?

Wooden tower surrounded by ponds of salted water which you can feel just inhaling the air. Nice view from the top, but do not seek anything special there.

We passed as we were walking from the parking lot to the mine. It looked like an old pre-medieval fort or some other fortification. On returning from our subterranean salt experience (no we didn't lick the walls) we decided to explore the structure. According to our map it curiously carries the name of "Graduation Tower". First thing you'll notice (and hear) is the dripping of the water along the walls, which on closer examination are sticks and branches. We decide to go in and find out so we bought tickets. Inside is a huge square with benches on the side. Many are occupied. In one bend of the structure is some type of waterfall along which you can walk. Soon after entering we became aware of this odd salty smell. Later on we read that the water was brine.

Wikipedia says the about it: The Graduation Tower is a structure used in the production of salt which removes water from a saline solution by evaporation, increasing its concentration of mineral salts. The tower consists of a wooden wall-like frame stuffed with bundles of brushwood (typically blackthorn) which have to be changed about every 5 to 10 years as they become encrusted with mineral deposits over time.[2] The salt water runs down the tower and partly evaporates; at the same time some minerals from the solution are left behind on the brushwood twigs."

Supposedly exposure to the salty fumes improves ones health if/when exposed to it for some length of time. It felt like some religious retreat. It was eerily quiet.

There is a way to go upstairs via an entrance at the gate. One level up gets you to the wall area. From here you can walk full circle along the wall and see first hand how the contraption works using wooden gutters, pipes and sluices. The next level displays some poster size pictures of inside the mine as well as a view of the whole structure.
We thought it was super intriguing.

The vapors created by this giant structure of sticks with salt water constantly trickling down the sides are alleged to treat all manner of lung ailments. ...didn’t seem to do anything for my sarcoidosis, but was interesting nonetheless.

Loved the experience. Good for people's lungs to clean them up after breathing polluted air like the one in nearby Krakow. They guide said 1h visit there clears up lungs thoroughly. Good for a walk for friends, families and couples.

It was a rather odd tower, next to the salt mine. Apparently the salty environment is good for you! There were two levels and you had to wait until people left as only so many people are allowed it. It was very cheap (6 zlotys) each. We spent about half an hour here. We weren't quite sure what the point was but there were some very good views!
