A wonderful collection of the famous Skagen group's work in a beautifully extended museum. It is well arranged with a major painting in each room and associated paintings on the same theme around it. There is a cafe in the former home of one of...More

I visited the Skagen Museum for the first time at the end of May 2017 and was looking forward very much to seeing many of the masterpieces produced by the Scandinavian artists who gathered and worked in Skagen around the end of the 19th century....More

We are happy to learn, that the paintings in the collection lived up to your expectations and to learn that you enjoyed the museum. I will make sure to pass on your kind words about the 'Focus' hanging to the curatorial team behind it.

If I can give zero stars I would. There was no obvious signage for purchase of tickets nor was there any English translation that tickets need to be purchased for admission. We were not stopped at the door either. We got stared at rudely in...More

If you only have one reason to go to the museum, it should be "Flowers in the garden" painted by P.S. Krøyer. The rest is plusses.

Heard about this place from others who had visited and was glad I made the effort. Art galleries and museums are plentiful but this one has it's own unique appeal. A gallery of works from artists who travelled to this (then) isolated place for inspiration...More

To me this museum is the core of Skagen, exhibiting the most famous paintings made of the artists that probably were the people responsible for making Skagen so well known. The old part of the museum is packed with paintings, making the exhibition overwhelming, but...More

This museum is in a lovely setting and is very simple but beautiful. The art work is absolutely breathtaking and very striking. There are huge panels of beach scenes. The awesome coast---easily accessible just a short walk behind the museum---provided an amazing vista for the...More

Dear Roberta. Unfortunately no, the only Zorn exhibition here in Skagen was in 2006, and Larsson was featured the same year - while the Skagen painters ans Zorn/Larsson were contemporaries and had a lot on common... More

I realize the museum is closed until May. I will be visiting in July, and need to know the entry price for a grant application. I have not been able to find this on the museum website. I'm sure it is there, I think I found it once, but can't find it again. Thanks. Betty
