It is incredible even to think about this bridge was built by romans ans then reformed in the middle age. The figures in both margins are there to explain the myth, that perhaps the first battalion has reached the end of the west world.
The town is build around this bridge, so of course it is the main attraction. It is a nice bridge, but since photos are so good today, you feel a bit disappointed by reality.
The history of this bridge goes way back. It is a nice pedestrian bridge connecting the church and town. Great opportunity for pictures.
We went at the end of September, but after a bit of rain, it turned out to be a beautiful walk across the bridge.
There is so much to see around and all very interesting. We walked along the river taking pictures and then more towards the centre. It was a good day out. Its easy to find parking places as the car park is just along the river.
