A very varied and interesting garden festival

If you are here when this is on, do visit. The park is divided up into small gardens and each organisation taking part works within the set theme with some really original results. Entry is cheap (€1) and there is a lot to see. Just over the Ponte Romana from the town, though…

If you are interested in gardens, this is worth a look

A dozen "show" gardens, still looking good late in September, 'though some of the wild ones had become a tad overgrown. No facilities inside when we visited, so we could not get a drink. Midday and 30+ degrees meant we had to cut our visit short.

Ridiculously cheap and a fabulous way to spend a few hours.

Couldn't find much info about this online and had driven an hr with our fingers crossed that it was on in 2018. 5 mins walk down the river (the side with the single roman soldier on horseback) takes you this beautiful park. We were amazed at the entrance fee considering the work…
