I loved everything about this garden. How the grand house stood right in the middle of the property, how the terraced garden was adorned with artistic mosaics, plants, flowers and even herbs. Plenty of creative ‘seating’ using yet again more mosaics for visitors to rest their feet and admire the views esp from the top of the garden. Even the toilet and water fountain received her creative touch. I would happily spent hours here and would visit again if I ever go back to Akaroa. I find most things in Akaroa is overpriced but I find this place is well worth the money. We paid $60 for 2A3C…

It is well worth visiting! Quite extraordinary mosaic creations among a magnificent garden. I went a bit crazy taking photos. I did think the admission fee was pretty steep though.
