Full-day Akaroa Tour with Penguins Safari and Wine Tasting

1 review
Take time out to connect with nature and delight in a nature safari encompassing the wild penguins at Flea Bay. How peaceful is that! To complete your day, enjoy an end-of-day wine tasting (or non-alcoholic beverage) and afternoon platter at the very special French Peak vineyard.. Your journey to Akaroa takes in the stunning scenery of the rugged Banks Peninsula coastline and farmlands. Stopovers include the award winning Barrys Bay Cheese factory at Duvauchelle, and the quaint Little River Café & Gallery. You can also enjoy wandering around the French-inspired township of Akaroa (during the day, you will have a little over 3 hours spare time to wander in and around at your own pace).

Stunning memorial and beautiful rose garden. A lovely place to sit and watch the world go by. Right beside the beach.

Humbling in any sense of the word. We have been to just about every Commonwealth War Grave situated around the world but rest assured even the ones in towns big or small in New Zealand catch you in the Heart. Rain or shine however our time is marked on this earth, whatever your belief or even if you have none, please pause a while and thank them and their families sacrifice as this is a debt of gratitude that should be acknowledged.

Very attractive and gentle garden with thoughtful inscriptions memorialising those that gave up their lives. A very quiet and introspective example of a countries gratitude

Lovely area that is well maintained and very popular with people on the sunny weekend day we visited. Many people sitting around having picnics etc. Close to the water so many people gathering on Anniversary weekend.
