This walk has everything! History - Captain Cook spent ages in this region and his 250 year anniversary is coming up soon! Beautiful scenery - deserves to be included in the "great walks" of New Zealand. Climate - sunshine every day! Variation - lovely lodges...More

Fantastic walk. Well worth doing. Lots of variation in scenery. A reasonable baseline of fitness is required and hiking shoes or boots are recommended - especially if doing when it's been wet recently as the clay surface can be very muddy and wet underfoot. Great...More

Endless ecstacy in walking, views and nature, incredible. One can do a few hours, up to 4 or 5 days, camping or staying in accommodation. Make sure to check out the Lermontov Lodge in Port Gore.

I did day 1 of the track and didn’t meet a single soul. First part of the track starting at Ship Cove is a bit steep, muddy and in the forest, but once you pass the Resolution bay, views become amazing. Lots of birds, crystal...More

2 Aussie Hikers here. We did the track in August 2017 in absolutely perfect weather. Most of the track is pretty easy going but there are steep parts such as the beginning. It's unbelievably picturesque and you will come away with some fantastic photo's. The...More

Fantastic walk along one of New Zealand's outstanding natural beauty spots. Loved every moment of outstanding views and fresh air, beautiful stops and accommodation and well worth the adventure to Picton from where we started

We started at the Anakiwa end of the QCT and hiked in a bit and back with our family. This was a cool trek (literally because in shade, Davies beach they could cool down and play and catch tiny crabs and release) and at night...More

I recently spent a day biking on the Queen Charlotte Track from Punga Cove to Furneaux Lodge and back. The track is fantastic for biking, and the views around every corner hard to put into words. A true gem of NZ

My wife and I took 3 nights/4 days to the QCT. The scenery was stunning. We stayed in DOC campsites two nights and Misteltoe Eco village one night. They were all great, and we would consider staying in one of the lodges in the future.
