The Queen Charlotte track is in a beautiful area of New Zealand. You can take tour boats or water taxi from Picton. We did only one segment but I imagine the entire track is spectacular.

We were two couples in our late sixties who planned our trip 10 months previous. We are reasonably fit and had completed other walks over the years. We did nothing special fitness wise to especially equip us for this one. We did the 4 day boutique walk...about 72 km and 23 hrs. Yes day 3 at 23 km is a... More

Tracks are mostly very well formed, some climbs but nothing ridiculous. Most sectors are reasonably short, but one is 24km. Views are fantastic and there are lodges to stay at overnight which are generally excellent.

Easy, accessible track with dramatic views. All local companies can help you if you want to do the whole things or part.

This has been on our bucket list for a while. I'd previously cycled the track but my wife was keen to walk it so off we went. Overnight accommodation each night was great, and luggage transported by water taxi made the walking much easier. The going is challenging (hilly) in places but the scenery makes it well worth while.

We booked our 4-day free walk through Marlborough Sounds Adventure Company, who delivered everything they promised. As two couples aged in our 60's and 70's, we opted to have our luggage transported between overnight stays at Furneaux Lodge, Punga Cove and Portage Resort (reviewed separately). The walk delivered spectacular views of Queen Charlotte Sound from numerous vantage points whilst wending... More

Went from ships cove to ferneaux lodge. Raining, track very slippery and due to recent earthquake lots of land slips and uneven track. Found it hard going.
