It took about an hour to drive here (we went the scenic route past Stony Batter) but was totally worth it. The tasting room is right by the beach with breathtaking views. Free tasting of fantastic wines. Found my new favourite wine, Exile, a sweet reisling type wine which i bought. Also bought olive oil and honey, a bargain at... More

Family recommended visiting this estate, it's a bit away from the others but well worth a visit. Beautiful setting looking out to the sea and lovely staff who were so helpful and talked us through some great wines. Would definitely go back

This place is off the beaten track, but it is 100% worth the trip. Not only is it in an idyllic location but the wine, food and staff are incredible. Had an incredibly knowledgeable gentleman take us through the wines and I can't rave highly enough about him. Platters are great and staff friendly. The setting is stunning. I have... More

After the long windy road it was an absolute pleasure to arrive at the winery on a lovely sunny Sunday afternoon, where we spent our time wine tasting and choosing our preferred bottle (or two) along with sharing the most wonderful platters of food coupled with a relaxing atmosphere and well designed outdoor area, it was the perfect way to... you might look on the map and wonder, why would i drive ALL the way out there when there are so many closer vineyards? because man o war is a little haven where you can sit in lovely beanbag chairs on a quiet lawn and rest while sipping wine and eating delicious food. make the trip - it's worth it!... After a lovely drive to the other end of the island, we arrived at a beautifully manicured winery picnic/tasting area with lovely views across the water to nearby islands. The wines are iconic, predominantly cabernet based, but including a range to suit all palates! Delicious tasting plates are available to accompany the wines, with our choice being the delicious dry... More

We visited Man O'War Vineyards on a beautiful Saturday morning. After a lovely drive on metaled roads into the unpopulated area of Waiheke, the vineyard is situated in a beautiful and peaceful bay looking towards the Coromandel and Pakatoa Island. We did the usual wine tasting thing and were surprised there was no charge for this complimentary service. We then... More

It is a bit of a drive to this winery but well worth it when you arrive. Situated by the beach with both indoor and outdoor dining. We began with wine tasting, very informative and enjoyable.Followed by a couple of platters, overall a great experience.

Absolutely worth the time to drive to the other end of the island to taste the wine and cheese on the lawn. Nice relaxed setting. Staff were passionate and knowledgable. Wish we had budgeted more time. My second favourite place on the island after Mudbrick.

A great vineyard right on the ocean with great views across to the Coromandel. Great tasting room with free tastings. Staff here are very friendly and very knowledgeable about the wines on offer. It is across the far side of the island (from the ferry) and is best gotten to by car. Wines here are very well priced.
