Well worth the walk to get to the area Thd surrounding views are amazing If you go in summer make sure you go early or later in the day as it gets very warm. Tunnels not currently open but still plenty to see

You need transport to get to this location and you need to be prepared for a hike (easy) from the carpark to the site. The gun emplacements, views and rock formations are worth the walk but hopefully they will re-open the tunnels soon as exploring...More

Great drive to east end of the island, then a good walk to WW2 fortifications. Excellent views to north over the Bay and east to Coramandel.

I can't think of anything else I've seen that's quite like this. Stunning view, especially on a clear day!

OK showing my age but last time i was here (3 decades ago) it was all about discovering the tunnels! Nice drive to get there and beautiful but we wanted tunnels

A great place to stop for a walk on the loop. We enjoyed the relaxing walk; clmbed to the top of hill to view the Man O'War bay.

Used to love visiting this place, what seems like miles of underground tunnels - very historic. This place has been closed for a long long time now due to "being unsafe" This is not good and need to be addressed ASAP - surely money can...More

Disappointing the tunnels were closed. We enjoyed the walk over farmland, amongst old WWII ruins. Superb views over and across the island. Stunning! Trekked down to Opopo Bay (steep for the last 10 minutes). A must do
