The Plaza Mayor is the internet hotspot of Trinidad, large groups of tourists gather here in the evening to check their messages and drink cheap cocktails available from a number of holes in the wall. During day time it is appears meticulously restored, perhaps even a bit sterile compared to dilapidated Cuba as we know and like it.

Beautiful square to be reached after climbing a bit. Monuments in good shape. Lots of activities nearby.

Small plaza close to the stairway that is always crowded as there is wifi available. In Trinidad, the people that approach you and try to sell you cuban cigars are really very annoying!

Plaza Mayor is the center of the town and judging by the impressive 18th and 19th century buildings surrounding the plaza, it is apparent that trade in sugar from the nearby Valle de los Ingenios and the slave trade greatly enriched the city! We often walked from the Plaza Mayor to Plaza Carillo, admiring this city. Cobblestoned streets and houses... More

It's where all the roads lead! Shows off to beauty if Trinidad to a tee. It's also a wifi spot, so busy with many tourists hunched over their mobiles.

This is the old center of town. There isn't a lot to do here, but it is good for some photos and you won't miss it. It is close to other attractions. You can get wifi here.

Just follow your ears and take yourself to the Plaza Major at night to kick off your evening. There are plenty of bars to choose from and you can mill about outside soaking up the atmosphere and your rum cocktail. Although busy, it's not too crowded and very safe. It does cater for tourists, so unlikely to be "authentic", but... More

Trinidad would be the nicest place we visited in Cuba. The area around the Plaza Mayor is where all the action is ; just walk the cobblestones and enjoy !

The Plaza Mayor in Trinidad, Cuba, is the historic centre of the town, declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1988. The streets are cobble stones making it hard to walk on. a good tip: use the sidewalks.

Just walk around and enjoy. Trinidad is much about walking around, fall into places and experience the "local" atmosphere.
